With a strong interest in Bluegrass music in my teens, attending many events and festivals, I decided to pitch a Bluegrass radio program to a Volunteer Community Radio Station in Waterloo Ontario.(CKWR). This started the radio career, which led to many opportunities including emceeing many events, clubs, and Festivals.
Hi, I am so excited to be part of the Mud Creek Bluegrass Festival. You may be asking who this guy is emceeing. Well let me tell you about me!
I have been in the Radio Business for 40 years. Currently at the CKNX family of Radio Stations in Wingham, ON. where I am a producer and an announcer.
I have emceed at the Carlisle BluegrassFestival, Tottenham Bluegrass festival, Conestoga
Trail Bluegrass Festival, SallyCreek Music Festival, Queensbush Bluegrass Festival. River Place Park, Along with many local events in many communities.
In 2010 and 2011 I was awarded Bluegrass DJ of the year at the Central Canadian Bluegrass Awards.
Although I have been out of the Bluegrass Circles for a few years, it has always been part of me, and runs deep in my heart. It kicked off a wonderful career in Radio, and for that I am grateful.
